BP Taking Stand

You're a fresh graduate nurse. You spent about Php500,000 to a million in tuition and other expenses. You sold all your carabaos, your TV set, and even your mom's ring. In the long run you became a suki of mlhulier.You can't find a job yet because you don't have a license yet. And even if you have the license to practice its not easy to find a job. There is an oversupply of nurses in the country today. There are even hospitals that do not accept applicants, only volunteers. Volunteer nurses don't get paid, they only get a monthly allowance of around Php1,000. Life sucks.

How can you earn back the money you spent in college? You can't. At least not right away. But you can earn cash with the skills you mastered in college. Use your BP taking skills to good use. I've tried this once. It was just a trip ng barkada. What we did was set up a table and chair in the market place and a "BP taking for Php10" sign. The marketplace is the best set-up, its where people congregate to buy stuff, and do some chika about their neighbors. You really have to swallow your pride with this raket cause there are co-graduate nurses of yours who laugh at you. At the end of the day we earned around Php600. Look who's laughing now!

Our usuall customers were perverted lolos, fat ladies, the tambays, and the tanggeros.
